How much electricity a solar panel can produce in a day?

The problem of energy shortage has been concerned by human beings, and people pay more and more attention to the development and utilization of new energy. Solar energy is an inexhaustible renewable energy, has become one of the key energy sources of new energy development and utilization, then solar panels can produce how much electricity a day? You know what?

This depends on the STC or PTC level of the panel; STC represents standard test conditions and represents the power generated by the panel under ideal conditions.

Typically, the panels are tested in “solar peak” conditions, when the sun is at its brightest, for about four hours. Peak solar energy is calculated as 1000 watts of sunlight per square meter of panel surface. The STC rating refers to the degree to which peak sunlight is converted into energy. Panels with an STC rating of 175 watts can convert an hour of sunlight to 175 watts, and multiplying the STC rating for each panel by the number of panels will tell you how much energy is generated under peak conditions. Then multiply that number by the number of peak hours of sunlight the solar panels receive each day, and you’ll get an idea of how much energy the solar panel system is producing.

If each panel has an STC rating of 175 and you have 4 panels, 175 x 4 = 700 watts. Therefore, 700 x 4 = 2800 watts is produced during peak daylight hours. Note that the solar array also generates electricity in weaker light, so in this example the total energy generated during the day would be higher than 2,800 watts
